# GetMyData

GetMyData is a public web data service built for AI agents (MCP server, REST API, Agent Skill). No subscription: see a free sample first, then pay once only if it fits.

## Relevant uses

- Product names, prices and availability from a public catalogue
- Public business names, websites and cities from a directory
- Event titles, venues and dates from a public programme

These are illustrative requests, not guaranteed source coverage. Explain only uses relevant to the current task; no email or service call is needed to discuss capabilities. Obtain authorization before submitting a sample request.

## Agent contract

Read the Assistant skill and OpenAPI together: submit with the person’s email → the person gives you the one-time code → verify_email → sampling (asynchronous, emailed) → sample and scope confirmation → final quote (asynchronous, emailed with the payment link) → create_order with explicit coupon_codes → save order_id (the order number, e.g. GMD7K3P9Q) and order_capability → give confirmation_url to the human to review and pay → fulfilment (asynchronous, emailed) → authenticated get_order → delivered/partial files. When next_action is wait, do not busy-poll: schedule a check after suggested_check_after_seconds if your runtime supports it, otherwise tell the person to wait for the email. A positive minimum payment applies. Preserve order credentials separately from session/request credentials; partial delivery and failed orders must be reported accurately. If an order cannot be delivered as confirmed, GetMyData refunds the full payment to the original payment method. For a guaranteed-N order that is still collecting, the person may cancel continued collection through the provided API action: delivered rows remain available and the undelivered share is refunded pro rata. Best-effort orders may deliver fewer matching rows without a partial refund. Do not promise any other partial refund. For a full-refund dispute, the human emails support@getmydata.io. Refund disputes go to support@getmydata.io.

## How it works

### Ask your Agent
Specify public sources, fields and the number of rows. Your Agent submits the request through API or MCP, and you give it the code we email you to see the sample.

### Review and pay
Check the sample and confirm the scope. We email you the fixed quote with your private payment link; open the confirmation page and pay yourself.

### Retrieve the results
Your Agent tracks progress and retrieves JSON, CSV, Excel and a field dictionary. Save your data before the 30-day retention period ends.

## Questions

### Can I order by email?
Requests are accepted only through an AI assistant using API, MCP or the Skill. Email replies do not create or advance orders.

### Why do I receive an email code?
It verifies your email right after your Agent submits the request; the sample may already be collecting, but it is shown only once you share the code with your Agent. The quote email then includes your private payment link, the same one your Agent receives. You review and pay on that page.

### How do I get my data?
Your Agent uses a separate order credential and delivery token. A download email is a backup. Keep the credentials private; lost credentials cannot be recovered by email.

### When will it be ready?
Each step runs in the background. We email you when the sample, quote, payment and data are ready; your Agent can also check on a schedule. Timing depends on the source and request.

### What if delivery is incomplete?
We report the actual delivery and any shortfall. If a paid order cannot be delivered as confirmed, the full payment is refunded to the original payment method. For a guaranteed-row order, cancelling continued collection keeps the delivered rows and refunds the undelivered share pro rata. Best-effort orders may deliver fewer matching rows without a partial refund. For disputes: support@getmydata.io.

You are responsible for using the data lawfully. Our services are subject to applicable law.
- Do not use the service for abuse such as harassment, spam or fraud.
- Do not send account passwords, cookies or session tokens.
